Great italian actors Sophia Lorena and Marcello Mastroianni, icons of 60s roman "Dolce Vita", in "Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow", 1964 Oscar for Best Foreign Film.
It's a delightful comedy directed by Vittorio De Sica, king of neo-realism, produced by Carlo Ponti (Loren's husband, dead on January 10 2007), filmed in Cinecittà, Rome.

Acteur favori de Federico Fellini, Marcello Mastroianni vient parler de la biographie de Fellini écrite par Giovanni Grazzini. Il parle de leur amitié, de leurs rapports professionnels, fondés sur le respect et l'humour. Le cinéaste Roman Polanski dit avoir le même type de relation avec Gérard Brach et rend hommage au plaisir de travailler avec Mastroianni, qui raconte quelques anecdotes de tournage, marquées par le côté sportif de Roman Polanski. Mastroianni affirme ne s'intéresser ni au foot-ball ni à la politique et démantèle quelques mythes sur les authentiques Italiens. Il parle des goûts cinématographiques de Fellini qui adore James Bond. François Truffaut qui n'aime pas James Bond aurait souhaité faire "le premier James Bond déficitaire". Polanski constate que "chacun de nous a une libido tout à fait différente".
