Hasret - Anam (Mother)
Hasret is the winner of "Popstar Alaturka" the Turkish version of "American Idol". On the finale she sang "Anam" a very popular Turkish song dedicated to mothers, her mother was in the audience and seeing her daughter sing for her made her very emotional.
The voice that Hasret has is beautifully unique and powerful. The music is a different story, I have always been mesmerized by Turkish music, they have such rich taste when it comes to music. And don't get me started on the voices Turkish singers posses, I mean if you haven't heard Turkish music you are definitely missing on something spectacular.
It's true that I only understand some of the words in the song ,but that hasn't made it any less beautiful to me.
I believe that music made with such heart and soul makes the language barrier vanish and the only thing remain is the effect of the music on your senses.

Riyad El Hamshari - Honored by Nawal & Shereen
Riyad El Hamshari was a very respected and highly talented composer. He passed away May 7th 2007 due to a heart attack.
On this TV program two of the most respected artists in the Arabic music industry (Nawal & Shereen) wanted to honor him with a medley of a couple of songs he composed for both artists.
Riyad started singing since he was 6 years old, but then he drifted to composing as he grew up. He has composed most of the hits in the Arabic music, every Artists had to work with Riyad even for once. His name was a major attraction on any album, and still he will always be remembered through the magical music he made and the songs he left for us to hear.
Riyad had two Children and on the day he had a heart attack he woke up right at dawn and looked into his wife's eyes and said my heart had stopped and died right after.
Nawal was very close with him and his family and his death has affected her deeply.

Jannat - Bahebak (I love you) / English Lyrics
Jannat captured everyone's attention since the day she came into the scene with her 1st Album in 2006.
This song is by far her best in my opinion. With her angelic voice and cute look, she can fill the air with love and passion.
The lyrics of this song are extraordinary and I just think it is one of the best love songs ever.
I just fall in love again and again and again whenever I hear this song and feel like the first time I fell in love.
I dedicate this song to my beloved.

The Arabic Dream - Various Artists
This video was created in 1998 Artists gathered from various Arabic countries to sing about being united and living in piece and also to sing about the conflict, suffering and the injustice in the Arabic region. And to spread the message to the world in hopes that their voices will be heard (obviously nobody cared).
This meaningful piece of art gives you a glimpse at what HUMANS in the Middle East are suffering from and what the media has been covering for years. What happens behind the covers is much worse than what we see on this video.
I just want to know where are the Human Rights? How could people be so cruel and soulless? This ridiculous conflict and debate has to come to an END and the rest of the world has to see this inhuman, criminal acts...
No one deserves to be treated and tortured like this, this video DOES NOT do any justice to what the Palestinians and others are going through. If you think these footage are horrible, then you ain't seen nothing, People have to go through this every freaking day!!! and for what???
I just can't describe how these people are suffering and nobody can!!
It's about time that people like you and me start to react and have an impact on this world and cause a change for once in this lifetime...

It's true that the pictures in this video do speak for them selves, however if you could only understand the meaning of the lyrics.
You'll understand how Arabs truly think and that they are just like any human being want to live united and in piece.
